Training Programme

Complete Own New training and earn your certificate.

Complete an active broker training module to understand Own New and earn a certificate.

Important: Passing any one broker quiz qualifies you as an Own New broker. Until you pass, builders cannot select you when submitting or making a broker-changing amendment to a Letter of Approval (LoA). You appear as Training required in broker search.

Accessing Training

  1. Sign in to your broker account
  2. Select Training in the sidebar
  3. Start the first available module. Later modules unlock as you complete the preceding module.

The overview shows the modules currently available, their question count and pass mark, and your progress. Own New may add, retire, or update modules, so use the values shown in Pulse rather than relying on an old copy of a guide.

How Training Works

Each module can include:

  • PDF Training Guide — product or process material to read and download
  • Video — an optional explainer
  • Quiz — randomised multiple-choice questions

The module page shows the live pass mark and any attempt limit. If attempts are unlimited, you can retake the quiz after reviewing the material. Pulse records your best score.

Taking a Quiz

  1. Review the module material
  2. Start the quiz
  3. Answer every question
  4. Submit your answers
  5. Review your score and whether each submitted answer was correct

Question order is shuffled on each attempt. Answer options remain in their displayed order.

Qualification and Certificates

When you pass a broker quiz:

  • Your broker qualification is recorded in Pulse and synchronised to Own New's partner records
  • A certificate is issued for that module
  • The certificate includes a unique ID, your score, and issue date
  • You can download the certificate from your training overview

Certificates use an ID in the form ON-{MODULE}-{YEAR}-{RANDOM}, for example ON-ON-2026-ABC123.

Each certificate also provides a verification link. The public check confirms that the certificate ID is valid and shows its module, issue date, and expiry; it does not display the certificate holder or score. Share the downloaded certificate itself when those details are required.

Tips for Success

  1. Read the PDF guide before starting the quiz
  2. Watch the video when one is available
  3. Check the module's pass mark and attempt limit
  4. Review the training material before retaking a quiz
  5. Use your own account so the qualification and certificate are issued to you

Troubleshooting

Quiz Will Not Submit

  • Check your internet connection
  • Make sure every question has an answer
  • Refresh the page and try again

Training Material Will Not Open

  • Try the download action or open the material in a new tab
  • Check that your browser allows PDFs and video playback
  • Try an up-to-date browser

Certificate Does Not Appear

  • Confirm that your score met the pass mark shown for the module
  • Refresh the training overview
  • Use the contact form if it is still missing

Team Training

Training is individual. Every broker must use their own account and earns their own qualification and certificates.
